Choose the layout before the cabin size
Reception and meeting-room cabins have different space needs from a simple site office. A reception layout may need a front desk, visitor waiting space, document storage and a clear entry path. A meeting room needs seating capacity, circulation, display or video-conferencing equipment, power points and appropriate lighting.
Before choosing dimensions, list the number of regular users and peak visitors, the furniture footprint, door swing, windows, storage and any equipment. A simple sketch helps identify whether a single room is sufficient or whether a partitioned layout is more practical.
Plan visitor flow, visibility and privacy
For reception use, position the entry and glazing so visitors can identify the desk without walking through staff work areas. Confirm whether the cabin needs a waiting area, pass-through counter, visitor register, secure document storage or accessibility considerations for the site.
For meeting use, consider privacy, speech clarity, screen placement and the distance between seats and display equipment. If the room will be used for confidential discussions, identify the required door, partition and acoustic provisions rather than assuming a standard cabin provides a specific sound rating.
Electrical, comfort and connectivity
List lighting, fans, air-conditioning provision, sockets, data points, display equipment and any dedicated electrical loads. The proposed wiring and distribution arrangement should match the actual devices to be used. Confirm whether furniture, AV equipment and network cabling are included or supplied by the customer.
Ventilation and insulation should reflect the expected occupancy and operating hours. A meeting room with several people and equipment may need a different comfort plan from a reception desk used intermittently. Confirm windows, shading, insulation and AC provision during specification review.
Delivery and placement at urban or industrial sites
The delivery route, gate width, overhead clearance, turning space, unloading arrangement and final placement area can limit the cabin size or delivery method. Share site photos and exact location details early, especially for campuses, active plants and built-up commercial sites.
For a quotation, provide dimensions, seating or visitor capacity, room layout, finishes, electrical requirements, AC provision, delivery location and quantity. Al Misbah can then review the configuration and confirm the proposed scope and schedule.
