EPS vs. PUF
EPS (expanded polystyrene) panels are cost-effective, lightweight and adequate for non-AC use and short durations. PUF (polyurethane foam) panels offer better thermal resistance and are recommended for AC cabins, long-duration installations and noise-sensitive applications.
Thickness matters
Typical panel thicknesses range from 50 mm to 100 mm. For AC cabins in Odisha's summer, 75–100 mm PUF panels offer better performance and lower running cost.
